Classification PurposeThis non‑exempt position performs unskilled and semi‑skilled tasks involving snow plowing, snow shoveling, salt spreading, and deicing. The employee works as required.
Essential FunctionsSafely and efficiently operate snow removal equipment, including plows, blowers, and shovels; use hand and power tools for snow removal; monitor weather and respond promptly to snow and ice events; clear driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots; maintain tools and equipment; model PPE usage; attend safety meetings; comply with all company policies; and provide excellent service to clients and partners.

Skills: Use and maintain hand tools safely; use all required PPE; apply chemicals correctly; work independently; communicate and follow directions; manage time to be punctual and efficient; work well with others; and provide excellent customer service by fulfilling client needs with courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism.

Preferred experience includes previous snow removal experience.
Essential Physical CharacteristicsStand, walk, or crouch on narrow and/or slippery surfaces; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects; walk for long distances on uneven surfaces; lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds; normal manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Special Notes, Licenses, and CertificationsPre‑employment:
Sign confidentiality, non‑disclosure, and non‑solicitation agreement before first day.
License:
No valid Maryland driver’s license required.
Certifications:
Complete Chemical and Spraying Training class annually.
Language:
Bilingual English and Spanish skills desirable.
Working Conditions:
Predominantly outdoors; exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise; dust, pesticides, herbicides, oils, fumes, electrical currents.
Background Investigation:
Must have reputation for honesty and trustworthiness; misdemeanor or felony convictions may be disqualifying; subject to background investigation and/or drug test.
