Join to apply for the Truck Driver CDL A Daily No Weekends role at Ryder System, Inc.
Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Glen Burnie, MD.
Pay & Schedule- Weekly guaranteed $1,250 per week
- Solo miles pay $0.75 per mile
- Solo stops pay $19.89 per stop
- Per diem $51.75 per night with 3 nights per month
- Overnights for route in Ryder booked hotel
- Paid training
- Schedule Monday–Friday NO WEEKENDS
- Start time 5:00 AM – 6:30 AM
- Deliver SOLO to: MD, VA, WV, PA, OH, DE
- Route:
Home daily - Tractor type:
Day cab - Able to accept an automatic restriction
- Trailer type: 42', 45', and 53' dry vans & occasional straight trucks
- Equipment:
Electric & manual pallet jack, dolly - Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful
- Freight:
Touch – flooring material
- Uniforms and boot allowance provided
- Paid personal time off starts day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year
- Medical, dental, vision start at 30 days
- 12 weeks paid maternity leave for qualifying employees
- Immediate 401k rollover and contributions with company match at one year
- Company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Performs other duties as assigned
