Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Glen Burnie, MD.

• Weekly guaranteed $1,250 per week
• Solo miles pay $0.75 per mile
• Solo stops pay $19.89 per stop
• Per diem $51.75 per night with 3 nights per month
• Overnights for route in Ryder booked hotel
• Paid training
• Schedule Monday–Friday NO WEEKENDS
• Start time 5:00 AM – 6:30 AM

• Deliver SOLO to: MD, VA, WV, PA, OH, DE
• Route:
  Home daily
• Tractor type:
  Day cab
• Able to accept an automatic restriction
• Trailer type: 42', 45', and 53' dry vans & occasional straight trucks
• Equipment:
  Electric & manual pallet jack, dolly
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight:
  Touch – flooring material

• Uniforms and boot allowance provided
• Paid personal time off starts day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
