About the RoleEstimator Doors Frames and HardwareMPM Industries | Glen Carbon, Illinois | Full time | On site Experienced roleMPM Industries is a fourth-generation, family-owned company founded in 1921. We supply commercial doors, frames, and hardware, architectural casework and millwork, and building specialties for commercial construction projects.
Help MPM win commercial construction projects with accurate, well-defined bids. As an Estimator, you will review plans and specifications, develop material takeoffs, obtain vendor pricing, and prepare proposals for commercial doors, frames, and hardware. You will work with customers, suppliers, and our project team to identify requirements and resolve scope questions before a project is awarded.
- Review architectural drawings, door schedules, specifications, and addenda to identify quantities, product requirements, and bid scope.
- Develop takeoffs and pricing for hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, architectural hardware, and related work.
- Request and evaluate supplier quotations, freight, lead times, and applicable labor or service costs.
- Prepare proposals that clearly state inclusions, exclusions, alternates, and qualifications.
- Identify missing information and conflicts; coordinate bid questions, substitutions, and value engineering options.
- Maintain estimating records and bid deadlines, and update pricing when drawings or requirements change.
- Support preliminary detailing and transfer scope, pricing, and project assumptions to the team after award.
What you bring
- Experience estimating commercial doors, frames, and hardware, with the ability to read construction plans and specifications.
- Working knowledge of product applications, hardware sets, and common commercial opening requirements.
- Accuracy with quantities and pricing; ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication and proficiency with Excel, email, PDF documents, and estimating software.
- DHI education or credentials, experience with TOAD-CRT or comparable industry software, and familiarity with project purchasing or detailing are helpful.

Pay: $32-$42/hour. Benefits:
