- Bring joy to hospice patients by visiting with your certified pet therapy dog.
- Participate in volunteer orientation to learn protocols and safety procedures.
- Maintain up‑to‑date vaccinations for your pet.
- Undergo background check, drug and fingerprint screening, and TB test before visits.
- Certified pet therapy dog required.
- Dog and handler must be trained for therapeutic visits.
- Completion of required background screening and TB test before deployment.
- Ability to comply with safety and confidentiality protocols.
All volunteers and animals are subject to a thorough screening process to ensure safety and quality of care for patients and families.
