The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago. College of DuPage seeks two full‑time, tenure‑track faculty members to teach developmental English and English composition courses beginning in August 2026. Our remedial and co‑requisite courses prepare students for the skills needed to be successful in our two‑sequence, college‑level composition courses, which focus on writing and rhetoric in 21st‑century contexts. Faculty duties include classroom instruction, assessment, curriculum development, advising students, professional inquiry, committee work, and engagement with instructional technology.

Teaching assignments will comprise a combination of developmental courses and co‑requisite courses paired with college‑level composition.

• Master’s degree in English/Composition/Rhetoric or a related discipline (e.g., M.A., M.Ed., or M.A.T. in Literacy, Language Arts, or Special Education) with at least 18 graduate credit hours in English/Composition/Rhetoric.
• Experience teaching at the college level is required; experience at the community‑college level is preferred.
• Experience teaching diverse populations, including academic, economic, ethnic, racial, cultural, religious, gender‑identity, sexual‑orientation, and students with disabilities.
