Rehabilitation Technician – Glen Ellyn – Physical/Occupational Therapy

- Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Technician will be responsible for patient care, support, and guidance.
- Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers.
- Proper set‑up and adjustment of exercise equipment.
- Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs).
- Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.
- Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
- Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.
- Clinic flow: monitor patient arrivals and keep patients apprised of any clinician delays; maintain cleanliness of clinic including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment; order supplies.
- Front‑end tasks: check‑in, co‑pay collection, answering phones, scheduling future appointments, communicating via chat with PT/OT and referral team regarding insurance benefits, schedule management for clinicians.
- CPR certification required.
- High School Diploma.
- Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Understanding of principles, contraindications/precautions for therapy modalities.
- Ability to set up equipment and adjust as needed.
- Identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning.
- Team‑oriented.
- Attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Problem solving, lateral thinking, and reasoning skills.
- Communication skills.
Base pay range of $15.10–$22.70 per hour, plus shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
