Qualificationsand Experience
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse Endorsement
- Registered Nurse license or Certified School Nurse (CSN) designation
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and healthy learning environment
- Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and emergency response
- Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with specific needs
- Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families
- Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate student health records in compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to promote optimal student health outcomes
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute clinical expertise
