About the role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairs, maintenance, and unit turnovers across our properties. The work is hands-on and fast paced, and you will play a direct role in keeping our communities safe and well maintained.
What you'll do
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for:
- General repairs across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and common area issues
- Completing unit turnovers, including inspections and repairs
- Supporting renovations and capital improvement projects
- Responding to maintenance work orders and documenting completed work
- Communicating with residents, property managers, and vendors
- Following OSHA, building code, and company safety standards
- Participating in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of multifamily or related property maintenance experience (3+ years preferred)
- Proficiency in general repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Comfort using basic technology. Experience with App Folio or other property management software is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in varied weather conditions
- Someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and follow through on assigned tasks
- Additional certifications (CAM, EPA Universal, OSHA 30, etc) are preferred but not required
Compensation and Benefits
- Base pay varies by experience, certifications, and overall qualifications
- Maintenance Technician I: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
- Maintenance Technician II: $29.00 to $32.00 per hour
- Maintenance Technician III: $33.00 to $37.00 per hour
- Overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek
- On-call stipend of $125 for each weekly on-call shift
- On-call shift differential for after-hours emergency work, paid at 1.5 times the employee’s base hourly rate
- Monthly leasing commissions based on the number of lease renewals completed
