Performing Arts Roles/ Dance Instructor, Music & Audio Production
Location: On-site at partner schools or community locations (varies by assignment)
Schedule: Typically 1–4 instructional hours per week, primarily after school
Program Length: Approximately 8–10 weeks per assignment
Start Date: Rolling opportunities based on school partner schedules
Compensation: Starting at $50+ per instructional hour, with rates varying based on the assignment, instructor qualifications, experience, location, scheduling needs, and other program-related factors. Most assignments fall between $50–$65 per instructional hour.

ASSIGNMENT SCOPEDepending on the specific program, Chorus Instructors may provide instruction in areas such as:
- Choral singing and ensemble performance
- Vocal technique, breathing, posture, and projection
- Pitch, rhythm, harmony, and musicianship
- Group warm-ups and vocal exercises
- Age-appropriate repertoire across a variety of musical styles
- Performance preparation and stage presence
- Musical collaboration, listening, and ensemble skills
- Building confidence and encouraging positive participation among students
Specific curriculum, grade levels, program goals, schedules, and instructional expectations will vary by assignment.
IDEAL BACKGROUNDPotential instructors may have experience as a:
- Chorus or choir teacher
- Vocal music instructor
- Music educator
- Vocal coach
- Choir director
- Performing vocalist with teaching experience
- Teaching artist or enrichment instructor
Experience working with K–12 students in a school, after-school, camp, community, private lesson, or youth music setting is strongly preferred.
Formal teaching certification is not required unless specifically stated for an individual assignment.
