Orthodontic Assistant (Glendale Heights)

As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will be an integral part of creating beautiful smiles for our patients. You will be part of a dynamic team of orthodontic professionals who are passionate about providing excellent care. You will be responsible for providing support to our Orthodontist and assisting in chair-side procedures. Your duties will include preparing patients for their treatment, sterilizing instruments, taking digital radiographs, and assisting with laboratory procedures.

• Prepare patients for orthodontic treatments, such as cleaning teeth, taking X-Rays, and making impressions.
• Examine patients  mouths and note irregularities.
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, such as adjusting braces and placing orthodontic appliances.
• Manage patient records and update charts.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care.
• Sterilize instruments before and after use.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols.
• Complete Aligner procedures: attachments, adjustments, and scans.
• Complete Full Arch Bonding top and bottom, and bonding fixed retainers.
• Debonding and Rebonding Brackets.
• Use various digital scanners and make clear retainers.
• Deliver expanders, space maintainers and Forsus as required.
• Travel to other clinics and perform all duties and administrative tasks as needed.
• Participate in marketing events and other tasks as assigned.

• Orthodontic assisting (1 year required)
• Availability on Saturdays
• High School Diploma or GED
• Certificate of completion for Orthodontic Assistant Courses (preferred)
• Ability to learn quickly and efficiently; multitask
• Professional, organized, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

• Monday – Wednesday: 8:45am – 5:00pm
• Thursday – Friday: 6:45am – 3:00pm
• 2 Saturdays per month
• Two 9:45am – 6:00pm shifts per month

• Travel to Joliet, Aurora, Arlington Heights

Pay range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
