Job SummaryThe Procurement Specialist is a key contributor responsible for researching, sourcing, and facilitating the timely ordering of products and services to ensure supply commitments and business needs are met. This role supports a variety of internal stakeholders, helping to clarify requirements, evaluate suppliers, and prepare accurate quotes and proposals. The Procurement Specialist will work on our proprietary software to analyze data, maintain pricing, and ensure a high level of accuracy in all procurement activities.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Generate quotes and submit them to account management for review and customer submission.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry into our proprietary procurement software.
- Compare materials and components on cost, quality, specifications, availability, and lead time with vendors and manufacturers.
- Review and evaluate material orders for completeness and accuracy; identify any missing, incorrect, or incompatible components.
- Develop a working knowledge of active approved vendors and assist in identifying and qualifying new potential vendors.
- Provide vendors the accurate information for placing orders.
- Assist with tracking order status, backorders, and delivery dates; proactively communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with the purchasing team, suppliers, and manufacturers to resolve issues and expedite orders.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize multiple order requests.
- Extreme attention to detail, organizational, and robust judgment skills.
- Use of analytical abilities to solve problems and anticipate departmental requirements.
- Experience creating and maintaining purchase orders, quotes, and related documentation.
Possess a strong proficiency in computers, including an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Required:
purchasing experience and parts ordering. - Preferred: HVAC, Refrigeration knowledge.
- Be an honest team player, growth-oriented, and able to do whatever it takes; safely!
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds; noise level is usually moderate.
- All employees may be required to visit a customer site and complete a ride-along with a field technician.
