The Field Safety & Training Coordinator will oversee the Safety & Training program across Safe Site.
PositionType / Expected Hours of Work
Full-time, 40+ hours/week
Travel25%-50%; trips to remote areas typically span from Monday to Thursday. Multiple trips per month might be necessary.

- Assist in the continuous development of EHS policies and procedures.
- Communicate safety rules, regulations, laws, and policies to employees effectively to increase understanding and reduce violations.
- Manage federal drug and alcohol program, to include administering drug screens and coordinating with drug testing facilities.
- Lead safety meetings, conduct “toolbox talks”, disseminate information both formally and informally.
- Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.
- Conduct risk assessments on current and future scopes of work.
- Investigate and report on incidents and accidents as well as violations of regulations and Company policies.
- Purchase, issue, and maintain required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Regularly (multiple times per week) visit crews on site to ensure quality control and safety.
- Operate autonomously, to standard, with minimal oversight.
- Safety Management experience within a construction and/or environmental services industry.
- Must possess working knowledge of OSHA/DOT Regulations.
- OSHA 10/30.
- CPR Instructor.
- PHMSA Master evaluator (Damage Prevention, AOC’s).
- You will not see your “boss” every day. You will be expected to plan and execute tasks daily with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Hydro-Excavation Operator experience.
- 4-year Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent experience.
- Be able to work extended hours and variable shifts.
- Be able to wear all required PPE.
- Be able to climb ladders and work from elevated heights.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, as well as a background/MVR check.
