In keeping with the Abrazo Health Care core values, the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will develop, implement, and evaluate the clinical pharmacy services for the facility, train staff, and participate in clinical services. The role includes providing delegated clinical services, participating in team discussions about patient care, educating patients and families, and ensuring compliance with clinical initiatives. The specialist will also mentor students and develop educational activities.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in critical care multidisciplinary rounds and review clinical opportunities for critical patients in other acute care areas.
- Optimize drug therapy and prevent adverse events while ensuring cost‑effective medication use.
- Participate in clinical decision‑making in Pharmacy & Therapeutics and other physician committees as needed.
- Provide drug information and in‑service education to medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff.
- Assist with the development and implementation of drug and disease‑management protocols to optimize patient quality of care.
- Conduct medication use evaluations in areas of need.

- Education:
Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy Degree - Licensure:
Current Pharmacist license in the State of Arizona / Arizona Pharmacy License - Experience:
Pharmacy practice residency or equivalent clinical experience - Certification: BLS
- Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) - Experience:
Critical Care residency - Certification: ACLS, BCPS
