Patient Care Technician; PCT - Obstetrics

Sign-on Bonus:
Up to $1,250 Bonus Based on Eligibility

• Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists the professional or licensed nurse as delegated in tasks requiring less technical skills.
• Participates in shift and bedside report. Participates and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.

• Special Skill:
  • Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and health care team members.
  • Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique and infection control best practices.
• Minimum Requirements:
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT Certificate
    • EKG training in selected units.
  • Certifications/Licensure: CPR
• Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience:
    
    One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
  • Certifications/Licensure: CNA/LNA from the Arizona State Board of Nursing

• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
