Executive Director of Hotel Operations

The Role
At VAI Resort, hospitality is a performance—and our guests expect a show-stopping experience at every touchpoint. We are seeking an Executive Director of Hotel Operations to lead day-to-day hotel operations with precision, creativity, and heart. This role is responsible for setting the tone for service excellence while driving operational performance across a highly dynamic, luxury entertainment resort environment.

What You’ll Do

• Set and execute the operational vision for the hotel, aligning strategy with VAI’s brand, culture, and guest experience standards
• Champion a guest-first mindset while balancing efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and service innovation
• Lead, inspire, and develop high-performing operational teams through thoughtful hiring, training, scheduling, and succession planning
• Monitor KPIs, financial performance, and service metrics; identify opportunities and implement solutions that elevate both experience and results
• Partner cross-functionally to support resort-wide initiatives, special events, VIP activations, and entertainment-driven experiences
• Analyze occupancy, revenue trends, market demand, and competitive landscape to drive performance optimization
• Implement cost controls and operational efficiencies without compromising luxury, creativity, or service quality
• Serve as a visible, hands-on leader across the resort—setting expectations, coaching in the moment, and modeling VAI’s CORE values

What You Bring

• Minimum of 5+ years of senior hotel operations experience in a 500+ room hotel or resort, with leadership exposure in Front Office, Housekeeping, or related disciplines
• Strong understanding of luxury hospitality operations, emerging industry trends, and best practices
• Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
• Luxury resort opening experience strongly preferred
• Strategic thinker with a balance of operational rigor and creative problem-solving

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move throughout the resort and operational areas regularly

• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
