Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Engineering Lead to spearhead data initiatives, with a primary focus on Azure Data Lake and related technologies. The ideal candidate brings deep architectural expertise in Azure Data Lake and Databricks
, strong security and governance knowledge, and a proven ability to lead technical teams delivering scalable, compliant, and high-performance data solutions.

Responsibilities Architectural Design and Implementation
  • Design, implement, and optimize scalable data architectures leveraging Azure Data Lake and Databricks
    .
  • Establish best practices for data ingestion, storage, processing, and retrieval.
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across cloud data environments.
Data Governance and Security
  • Develop and implement security controls within Azure, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Manage RBAC
    , encryption, and access protocols for Azure Subscriptions.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams for ongoing audits and vulnerability assessments.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers to drive high-quality project delivery.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and IT teams to translate business requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Foster agile practices and continuous improvement within the team.
Platform Optimization and Monitoring
  • Oversee the deployment and operation of Azure Data Lake and Databricks environments.
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Evaluate emerging Azure services and recommend innovative integrations.
Strategic Planning and Roadmap Development
  • Define and execute a data engineering roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to long-term data strategy
    , including lakehouse adoption and cloud optimization
    .
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in managing engineering or data teams.
  • Proven hands‑on expertise with Azure Data Lake, Databricks
    , and associated Azure services.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering large‑scale data architectures
    .
Required Knowledge and Skills Technical Skills
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling proficiency.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Azure security concepts
    , including subscription management, RBAC, and data encryption.
  • Experience with ETL pipelines
    , CI/CD, and Dev Ops practices.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and performance tuning.
Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical, strategic, and proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Preferred Qualifications
