Duration: 12 Months plus

Pay Range: $65/hr – $75/hr on W2 (DOE)

Russell Tobin is supporting a leading insurance and financial services company in their search for a Service Now ITOM & Integration Specialist to join their IT organization. This role is highly technical and requires a hands‑on expert who can lead, configure, and enhance a complex Service Now ITOM environment. What you have done and what you will do:

• Demonstrated hands on experience with multiple implementations of the core suite of ITOM applications (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, SAM/HAM)
• Experience leading at least three full lifecycle Service Now implementations.
• Excellent understanding of CMDB data models, relationships along with hands on experience of getting CMDB configured for advanced technologies like Containerization, Cloud services (AWS, MS Azure etc.)
• In depth understanding and proven experience with implementing Common Services Data Model till the Fly maturity level.
• Ability to analyze existing business services and their relationships with other CIs and effectively map them for the success of ITSM processes like Incident, Change, and Dev Ops, Vulnerability Response etc.
• Configuring Discovery probes, sensors and / or patterns to ensure high data accuracy and integrity of our CMDB. Experience in moving to discovery patterns.
• Core Platform and Service Now Scripting knowledge with hands‑on experience is a must. Nice to have ATF, Service Portal, Platform Analytics and UI Builder experience.
• Demonstrate experience with enhancing Discovery performance and coverage and building effective dashboards for senior managers, service owners and executives to show accurate and up to date results of our CMDB health.
• Demonstrate hands on experience with designing and implementing multiple integrations to 3rd party systems.
• Leverage both proven and innovative technology approaches to solve challenging business problems.
• Provide technical assessments, written documentation and technical expertise.
• Work on continuous improvement by sharing experiences and knowledge with the team.
• Advise on options, risk and impacts on business processes and technical architecture.

What we would like to see and expect to see:

• 5 years as a key resource for large scale ITOM solutions, of which 3 or more years as a Service Now Architect / Lead or Service Now Solution Consultant
• 3 years of experience with Service Now with a strong focus on Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Mgmt.
• Validated successful oversight of several Service Now ITOM implementations.
• Expert knowledge of third‑party integrations with Service Now, Discovery probes, sensors and patterns, Service Mapping configurations and Event management rules for correlation of events and alerts coming from monitoring tools.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and professional guidance to managers, team, and vendors.
• Service Now Certified System Administrator Certification
• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist Certification – Service Mapping, Event Management. (SAM and Cloud Management is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience/ combination of education and experience.
