A company is looking for a Commercial Lawyer to support a major international capital project in Kazakhstan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide commercial legal support for a large-scale capital construction project in Kazakhstan
- Review, negotiate, and advise on Master Service Agreements and related vendor contracts governed by Kazakhstan law
- Ensure contracts comply with Kazakhstan's legal and regulatory framework, including mandatory local law provisions
- 7+ years of commercial legal experience, focusing on international or cross-border transactions
- Experience working with contracts governed by Kazakhstan law, directly or in collaboration with local counsel
- Practical knowledge of Kazakhstan commercial, contract, or construction-related legal requirements
- Experience advising on engineering, construction, sourcing, or capital project agreements
- Ability to operate independently while managing local-law input from external counsel
