Position Summary

Quality Supervisor will be responsible for Quality operations occurring at an Air Life Distribution Center, including the overall Quality of product through the facility. This position ensures products are meeting internal, customer, and regulatory requirements, and that processes and transactions are being conducted in an efficient, compliant manner. As Quality Supervisor, this role is expected to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team, and will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Control and Inspection teams operating at this facility, ensuring they have the support, tools, and processes in place to conduct their responsibilities as expected.

The Quality Supervisor is expected to drive a strong focus on team development, engagement, and professional growth. As a leader within the Quality department, this position will participate in strategic initiatives including inventory and process flow planning, continuous improvement activities, and focus on customer and patient safety.

Position Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of quality standards for medical devices (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA QSR, MDSAP, EU Medical Directives, and Canadian Medical Device Regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi‑task.
  • Sound, systematic problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Database Management and Statistical Analysis.
  • Able to collaborate with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong ability to conduct root cause analyses.
Level Of Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of Quality System experience in an FDA regulated and/or ISO certified facility (preferably ISO 13485).
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, leading and mentoring employees.
  • A minimum of 3 years in quality control and product inspection.
Level Of Education
  • Bachelor/Associate degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management to support team development and achievement of Air Life goals.
  • Align team’s objectives with Air Life priorities, ensuring compliance, promoting a culture of accountability, and upholding Air Life values.
  • Take accountability and ownership for actively participating in recruitment processes and supporting fair treatment in disciplinary processes for your team.

  • Manage your team’s budget responsibly and exhibit financial accountability.
Individual Contributor Duties
  • Support team through sort and rework activities and ensure adequate resources for completing daily and project‑based work punctually.
