Crane Operator / Material Handler (Scrap Recycling)
Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a premier staffing agency, is looking to fill a Crane Operator / Material Handler position with a scrap recycling facility located in the Phoenix area. This role has the potential to become a long-term, full-time opportunity for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities
* Operate mobile and stationary shear cranes in a scrap recycling environment
* Safely operate CAT Material Handlers, Liebherr, and Sierra equipment
* Load, unload, sort, and move scrap materials efficiently and safely
* Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures
* Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to support production goals
Requirements
* 5+ years of crane or heavy equipment operating experience preferred
* Experience operating material handlers or shear equipment in a recycling, scrap, or industrial environment
* Strong understanding of jobsite safety and equipment operation
* Ability to work long shifts and in outdoor conditions
* Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
* Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
