Maintenance Technician About Us

Scope Includes, but is not limited to
  • Assist in the completion of make ready units to Chamberlin standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, plumbing problems, painting, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
  • Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
  • Perform daily pool care, assure pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
  • Re-key locks and cut keys.
  • Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
  • Keep the property free of weeds, raked rocks, remove trash, clear sidewalks and periodically power wash, ensuring amenities or community areas are clean and in working order, etc.
  • Share on-call duty with service team members and be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory of materials, parts and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, expenditures, apartment make‑ready status, work in progress, etc.
Requirements
  • General knowledge in the following areas:
    Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
  • Knowledge of building systems.
  • Service orientation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience as apartment turn technician, make‑ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
  • HVAC and CPO certification preferred.
  • Bilingual or English speaking.
Work Hours
  • 40 hours a week, Monday‑Friday during property business hours.
  • Evenings and weekends may be required as circumstances warrant.
