Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This position is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who has spent a few years in a senior role at smaller firms and is now looking to advance their career toward a Tax Manager position within the next 6-9 months. The candidate will start by working in our Glendale office, with the potential to transition to a hybrid work model in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:- Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
- Tax Planning & Strategy: Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to clients.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing expert guidance on tax-related matters.
- Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with junior staff, offering mentorship and guidance to enhance team performance. - Compliance: Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time, staying current with tax laws and regulations.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and tax reports for internal and external use.
- Path to Tax Manager: Demonstrate leadership skills and a strong understanding of tax principles, positioning yourself to step into a Tax Manager role within 6-9 months.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of total tax accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior tax accountant role at smaller firms.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification: Active CPA license is required.

Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Communication
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients and team members. - Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
