Payroll Specialist

A growing organization in the Glendale area is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its team. This hybrid role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with high-volume payroll processing and strong system knowledge, including ADP Workforce Now and SAP
.

• Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll for multi-state employees
• Review and audit payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and commissions
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity within payroll systems
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and company policies
• Process garnishments, tax with holdings, benefits deductions, and direct deposits
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, month-end reporting, and payroll-related journal entries
• Partner with Human Resources and Accounting teams to support employee lifecycle transactions
• Support payroll audits and year-end processing activities, including W-2 preparation

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or other ADP platforms
• Experience working within SAP or similar ERP systems
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
