Title: Content Manager – Special Events
Location: Glendale, CA
Duration: 8 Month Contract (Likely to be extended)
Compensation: $55-59.50/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. (No C2C)

Overview

The Special Events team produces creative, turnkey internal and external-facing events, meetings, and conferences across a wide range of scales. This role supports Event Production, Project Management, and Digital teams for a large-scale, multi-day fan event in 2026. The Content Manager is responsible for content development, tracking, review, approval, and publication across guest-facing communication channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development & Workflow Management
    • Manage content development, tracking, review, and approval for guest communications across email, web, mobile app, and other event-related formats.
    • Prepare and manage content trackers and establish workflows in partnership with Editorial, Project Management, Legal, Event Production, and internal stakeholder teams.
    • Update templates and workflows as needed and ensure all stakeholders are trained prior to content review and publication milestones.
    • Enforce adherence to established processes and tracking across all levels, documenting or implementing changes as needed to maintain consistency.
  • Intake & Stakeholder Coordination
    • In partnership with the Project Manager and Event Producer, manage intake of listings from internal business units and external partners.
    • Review submissions for completeness and accuracy and transfer approved information into centralized tracking tools.
    • Ensure listings are routed and reviewed consistently by all stakeholder groups and delivered on deadline for guest communications such as informational emails, event guides, staff guides, mobile app, and website.
    • Manage and facilitate change requests, ensuring full visibility across all stakeholder groups and rerouting content as required.
    • Interface with internal teams and partners to track evolving information and updates.
  • Editorial & Guest Communications Support
    • As needed, collaborate with Event Production, Marketing, and other partners to reference sample content and draft guest-facing informational copy related to the event.
  • Digital Content & CMS Management
    • Support Project Management and Digital Production teams during early creative development and UX phases for the event app.
    • Become proficient in the event app’s CMS to prepare and load content.
    • Manage copy documentation and version control for event information published to the event website and app, including (but not limited to):
      • General event information
      • Transportation and parking
      • Accessibility details
    • Facilitate content reviews and approvals with key stakeholder groups including Legal, Accessibility, Event Production, and Digital teams.
    • Collaborate with website and app producers to ensure timely, accurate updates across platforms.
    • Help manage timelines for updates, content changeovers, and publishing deadlines.
  • Meetings & Communications
    • Participate in production, planning, and operational meetings as required.
    • Participate in daily wrap-up meetings during load-in and event operations.
    • Communicate progress, risks, and next steps to Event Management.
    • Immediately flag issues that may impact scope, schedule, budget, contracts, or programming.
  • Documentation & Post-Event Deliverables
    • Collaborate with Digital and Project Management teams to document pre-event, live-event, and post-event states for the website and app.
    • Deliver final editable and locked documentation files for reference.
    • Provide after-action notes and participate in post-event reviews as requested.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Theater, English, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in content management, editorial, writing, or app/web content development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, presentation tools, PDF editors)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
