Spoon Labs is looking for a Vigloo US Creative Executive(CE) to join our team in Los Angeles.
Vigloo is a global short-form drama platform created by Spoon Labs, redefining the entertainment landscape by delivering high-quality, immersive vertical video content to a global audience.

. We are looking for a Creative Executive who is responsible for driving the creative direction, story quality, and strategic development of Vigloo’s content slate. This role focuses exclusively on idea evaluation, story development, writer collaboration
, and aligning creative output with audience insights and business goals
. The Creative Executive partners closely with in‑house producer and marketing teams.
- Identify compelling concepts, genres, and story opportunities based on market research, audience data, and platform trends.
- Evaluate pitches, concepts, outlines, scripts to determine viability, engagement potential, and fit within Vigloo’s creative strategy.
- Maintain an active pipeline of fresh story ideas that support slate diversity and meet business goals.
- Work with leadership to define creative priorities, thematic focus areas, and new formats for exploration.
- Give detailed and actionable notes on loglines, outlines, beat sheets, scripts to ensure clarity, pacing, character depth, retention strength.
- Collaborate closely with writers and producers to elevate narrative structure and emotional impact.
- Guide projects through full development lifecycle—from concept to production‑ready script—ensuring creative alignment at each step.
- Ensure all projects reach production‑ready creative standards before handoff.
- Develop localization guidelines that adapt story, tone, and cultural references for global audiences.
- Evaluate concepts and scripts for cross‑market potential, identifying opportunities for cultural adaptation without losing story intent.
- Collaborate with localization teams to ensure translations maintain narrative clarity, emotional impact, and brand voice.
- Incorporate regional audience data and platform insights to inform localization decisions and international content strategy.
- Work with marketing, audience insights, strategy teams to integrate data‑driven insights into creative decisions.
- Clearly communicate creative intent, themes, direction to downstream teams without overseeing execution.
- Support evaluation of external pitches, partnerships, or IP opportunities from a creative perspective.
- Bachelor’s degree in History, English, Fine Arts, Screenwriting, or related field or equivalent hands‑on experience working with professional screenwriters—ideally within vertical or mobile‑first formats.
- Strong creative writing skills focused on romance and drama genres.
- Proven ability to stay composed under pressure; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Flexibility to work effectively across multiple time zones.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities; experience guiding cross‑functional teams.
- Strong interest in reading novels and staying engaged with narrative storytelling.
- In‑depth knowledge of online reading or publishing industry, including historical and current trends.
- Deep understanding of audience behavior and digital‑first storytelling; sharp sense of what resonates and performs on You Tube, Tik Tok, Instagram.
- Able to work on‑site at the office when required.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States; valid work‑eligible visa status.
