Position:
Portfolio Manager
The Portfolio Manager will be working with high-net-worth individuals and will have to convey technical investment information on a regular basis. This individual will add a fresh, unique perspective to the team. In this role, the manager will support the lifecycle of a large portfolio, leading project-level reviews, optimizing standards, identifying areas for improvement, reporting analyses, and training staff members. The portfolio manager should not only be comfortable talking with high-level business leaders about individual portfolios but also help us define KPIs and create a roadmap for company wide operations.
PortfolioManagement Responsibilities
- Constructing successful investment portfolios informed by market conditions and economic trends.
- Generating investment policy statements, outlining our clients’ investment objectives.
- Buying and selling securities in client accounts to maintain a specific investment strategy, or to reach an investment objective.
- Determining acceptable risk levels for clients based on time frames, risk preferences, return expectations, and market conditions.
- Maintaining existing client relationships, including informing clients of market conditions, updating them on investment research and economic trends.
- Meeting with clients to discuss their portfolio performance and investment objectives.
- Drafting market commentary, case studies, and market analysis.
- Evaluating the performance of investment portfolios and ensuring compliance with standards provided by regulatory organizations, including conformance with investor disclosures, privacy laws, anti-money laundering requirements, and anti-fraud measures.
- Staying up to date with relevant investment and trading news, and economic trends.
- Supervise and lead the wealth management division’s investment and client service staff.
- Collaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
- Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary.
- Four or more years of experience in financial planning and investment
- Certification in good standing, such as CFA, CFP, or CAIA
- Knowledge of securities, insurance, and mutual fund industries
- Personal integrity and an ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information
- Proficiency with financial planning software
$125,000 - $200,000 and full benefits
