- Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements.
- Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhere to company policy, and monitor and mitigate risk to the company.
- Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in accordance with contract terms and company policy.
- Prepare regular reports on escrow account status and provide them to involved parties.
- Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents.
- Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale.
- Complete closing by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final closing statements.
- 2-4 years of escrow-related experience.
- Direct handling of escrow transactions as an escrow assistant preferred.
- Openness to new technology, proprietary programs, and flexibility to new workflows.
- Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional, positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders; comfortable using various communication methods to meet customer needs.
- Problem solver with strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to navigate resources to resolve issues.
- Team player who contributes to delivering beyond customer expectations.
- Comfortable guiding and supporting future talent learning the business.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to adapt quickly to new software applications.
- Valid licensing/certification as required by applicable state.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
