Patient Services Representative (NTL Region)
Derm Care Management – Beverly Hills, CA
Salary: $21.29-$33.00 per hour | Full‑time | Days shift
Join our team supporting daily clinic operations, delivering exceptional customer service, administrative support, and clerical duties. You will be responsible for HIPAA/OSHA compliance and fostering a positive work environment.
Essential Functions- Greet patients and caregivers, providing welcoming and professional customer service.
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
- Prepare charts for the following business day.
- Verify eligibility & benefits: list co‑pay, deductible, coinsurance on fee ticket; obtain prior authorizations or referrals; notify patients of deductible or co‑insurance at check‑in.
- Collect all monies due at time of service and post payments collected from patient copays & balances.
- Maintain public spaces such as waiting rooms, ensuring they are clean, comfortable and organized.
- Use all computer applications, including practice management systems, EMRs, internet‑based applications and standard office applications.
- Assist patients at check‑in: confirm/enter demographics, assist with consents/forms/IDs/insurance cards, document and call no‑shows.
- Assist patients at check‑out: collect & post payments, assist with product sales, schedule follow‑up appointments, document and call no‑shows, scan fee ticket into chart at end of visit.
- Perform end‑of‑day fee ticket, batch submission and cash reconciliation with highest accuracy.
- For call center offices: all front desk staff log in daily into the communication portal and stay in close contact with call center.
- Process and submit medical records requests in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Distribute faxes as received to appropriate parties.
- Relay updates and information between patients, staff members and providers to maintain smooth patient flow and timely service.
- Other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1‑year prior customer service experience.
- Proper demeanor for a dermatology office.
- Prior experience in a dermatology office setting preferred.
- Bilingual – Spanish speaking.
- Detail and outcome oriented.
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in a sometimes, ever‑changing environment.
- Effective at listening, understanding, clarifying and responding to patient questions/concerns.
