Purpose Statement/Position Summary
The Billing Representative will collect and submit billing data, enter data into the computer database, locate and resolve routine problems, and track claim and billing activity. Ensure that patient accounts are accurately reviewed and prepared for timely billing. This role involves verifying documentation, confirming payer information, addressing potential claim denials, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless billing processes.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience
- 1+ year general clerical experience in performing billing related functions, preferably in a health care facility environment or a physician’s office.
- 1 year of hospital billing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of payer policies and claim submission processes preferred.
- Problem‑solving skills to identify and address potential billing issues.
Education/Licensure/Certification
High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Pay Scale
$43,680.00 - $59,082.00
CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
