Overview

Onsite/ Hybrid/ Remote:
Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Rate Range:
Up to $89/hr on W2 depending on experience (no C2C or 1099 or sub-contract)

Work Authorization: GC, USC, All valid EADs except OPT, CPT, H1B

Must Have
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience as a generalist across services (IAM, VPC, networking, certificates, multi-account/multi-region environments).
  • 3+ years of infrastructure as code with Terraform (heavy usage).
  • 3+ years of software engineering with Python (for tooling) and scripting (Bash).
  • Strong grasp of AWS networking
    : VPC, Security Groups, DNS, firewalling.
  • AWS IAM and Security policy creation experience at scale.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Spinnaker).
  • Security-first mindset applied to multi-tenant systems and developer workflows.

    Python for developer-facing tooling
  • Strong AWS IAM/security policy creation
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain automation and self-service tooling to reduce operational toil and improve developer experience.
  • Troubleshoot and unblock teams on IAM permissions, networking, and deployments
    .
  • Operate AWS accounts securely while enabling developer productivity.
  • Write Terraform modules and Python-based tooling to manage infrastructure and internal services.
  • Provide technical guidance on AWS design, deployment, and security best practices.
  • Document processes and tooling in clear, developer-friendly language.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues via Jira, Slack, and email queues.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with TPMs, product managers, principal engineers, and developers across levels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Strong stakeholder management—able to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Practical troubleshooting skills with a bias toward unblocking teams quickly.
Preferred
  • AWS Certifications.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Familiarity with SSL certificate management.
