Dream Works Technology - Systems Administrator, Operations
Dream Works Animation seeks a systems administrator who can support everyday studio operations and drive infrastructure improvements.
Base pay range
: $70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
- Provide world‑class support for day‑to‑day studio operations and initiatives.
- Advocate for client needs to other technology departments.
- Collaborate with engineering on infrastructure upgrades.
- Triage and resolve support incidents promptly to minimize productivity loss.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for end‑user support incidents.
- Analyze hardware and software issues and create solutions.
- Build, install, maintain and troubleshoot Linux, OSX and Windows desktops and laptops.
- Work with system engineers and architects on studio projects.
- Lead small to medium projects to meet objectives on time.
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities for processes and procedures.
- Manage software license installations.
- Provide technical expertise and application debugging support.
- Deliver end‑user support via phone, ticketing system (Jira) and deskside visits.
- Create automation tools to increase departmental efficiency.
- Set up and transfer systems as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintain support documentation.
- Escalate to other technology departments such as Asset Management and A/V.
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting UNIX/Linux and/or Windows in an enterprise environment.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong customer‑service skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN configuration and concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Power Shell, or Perl.
- Experience supporting Gmail and Google Suite.
- Experience in a production environment.
- Ability to prioritize objectives and manage time effectively.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
This position must be performed full‑time from the Dream Works designated worksite.
