Senior Product Manager – Data & Analytics
Location: Glendale, CA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)
Optomi is partnering with a large, enterprise entertainment organization to hire a Staff Product Manager focused on Data & Analytics. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle for internal data products, including reporting, dashboards, analytics platforms, and data pipelines that support studio technology and business operations.
This is a senior individual contributor role with broad scope and executive visibility. The Staff Product Manager will work in a matrixed environment, partnering closely with data engineers, analytics teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact data initiatives across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for enterprise data and analytics products, from discovery through delivery
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear product requirements, epics, and user stories
- Define and maintain product roadmaps, prioritizing work across multiple teams and initiatives
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to guide data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and validation
- Lead the design and delivery of dashboards, reporting, and analytics products used by executive and operational teams
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and roadmap reviews
- Present product updates, trade-offs, and outcomes to VP-level stakeholders
- Ensure data products deliver measurable business value and meet quality standards
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or 15+ years of equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years of product management or product ownership experience
- Proven success leading complex, cross-functional data initiatives in large enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics workflows, including ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization
- Comfortable writing user stories, test plans, and validating datasets
- Strong stakeholder management skills with polished, executive-level communication
Experience working in matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholder groups
- Experience in the entertainment or media industry
- Background in technology and data-focused organizations
- Experience managing or mentoring a small product team (without direct reports)
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data cataloging concepts
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis
- Matrix-style team structure with product pods aligned to initiatives
- Staff-level product managers oversee broader scope without direct people management
- Collaborative, fast-paced environment with an emphasis on flexibility and partnership
