Paralegal – Plaintiffs‑Side Class Action Litigation

Growing law firm in the Los Angeles area, considered a powerhouse in plaintiff wage‑and‑hour class action litigation, seeks a highly‑qualified paralegal to join its expanding team. The firm has a robust caseload in federal and state courts against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies in multiple industries, focusing on consumer and employment class and representative actions involving wage‑and‑hour, unfair business practice, discrimination, and false advertising matters.

As a paralegal you will assist attorneys by providing clerical and research support, document preparation, client and witness interviewing, discovery responses, trial preparation, and other related duties required by the firm's caseload.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
  • Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys.
  • Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and related documents.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including attending trials and hearings.
  • Maintain records of billable hours spent on specific cases.
  • Organize, enter, and cross‑reference documents in a computerized database.
  • Prepare discovery requests and responses.
  • Assist general counsel with special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience (preferred).
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
