Care Partner (CNA) – 4th Floor Telemetry – Full-Time 12 Hour Night Shift (Union)

Join Keck Medicine of USC as a Care Partner (CNA). The role provides nursing staff support in patient care delivery, clerical functions, organization of the unit environment, and setup/maintenance of equipment. The emphasis will depend on the assigned unit.

• Current California Certified Nurse Assistant Certification
• OR Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program and completion of at least the “Fundamentals of Nursing” course with a B or better.

• Six months to one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• [Preferred] Experience in an acute care setting.
• OR actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Ability to pass a 4‑hour USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Electronic Health Record data entry training course.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology and abbreviations (preferred).
• Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when competing requirements and a heavy workload exist.

• Maintain active California Certified Nurse Assistant certification.
• OR maintain active enrollment in an accredited nursing program; graduates or drop‑outs may be suspended from work with 30 calendar days to re‑enroll or obtain certification.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card through the American Heart Association.
• AB 508 Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer into the department, and renewed before expiration.

The hourly rate range for this position is $22.06 to $29.69. When extending an offer, USC considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, experience, education/training, key skills, equity, legal requirements, contractual stipulations, grant funding, and external market and organizational considerations.
