Registered Nurse - Outpatient, travel assignment in Glendale, California. Start date 10/26/2026 for a 12-week contract. Weekly pay $2,401-$2,448, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is day-oriented, typically 8-hour blocks (approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), five days per week. This role is in a hospital setting focused on outpatient surgery, including Pre-op, Pre-Admission Testing, and Post-op/Phase 2 Recovery, with a fast-paced, high-volume workflow.

Hospital-based outpatient surgery services (Pre-op, PAT, Phase 2 Recovery) - Experience emphasis:
Epic Optime experience preferred
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient surgery patients across pre-op, Pre-Admission Testing, and Phase 2 recovery, following established standards and the nursing process.
- Collect relevant data, perform assessments, develop and implement a care plan, and continually evaluate patient progress.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage the perioperative timeline to promote patient safety and timely discharge.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, anesthesia, ancillary staff) and ensure smooth patient flow and care handoffs.
- Provide patient and family education, participate in discharge planning, and ensure appropriate post-discharge instructions and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (Epic Optime) and uphold infection control and safety protocols; stay compliant with facility vaccination and policy requirements where applicable.
- Current State of California RN license (active)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required per policy - Minimum 2 years of recent experience in acute or outpatient care
- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Clinical specialization:
Outpatient surgery or similar setting experience preferred - Proficient in outpatient perioperative workflows, including Pre-op assessment, Pre-Admission Testing, and Phase 2 Recovery;
Epic Optime experience preferred - Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment and adhere to safety and documentation standards
