Flower Shop Representatives are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to client families. This position performs clerical work, provides customer service, and conducts the sale of flowers in the flower shop. • Deliver flower presentations to client families and assist them in the proper selection in floral arrangements with availability.
• Maintain effective communication with client families. Solve and address customer concerns in a timely manner .
• Maintain correct balance of cash and timely submission of cash reports, following all cash handling procedures.
• Maintain professional vendor relationships. Order, verify, and receive inventory. Deliver client family orders by deadline.
• Receive and process phone, internet, and other orders accurately to meet customer expectations.
• Receive payments for contracts , add-ons, and store merchandise, from customers and provide receipts.
• Responsible for flower placement contracts received from client families.
• Be knowledgeable and perform office functions including, but not limited to , maintaining daily cash and inventory reports , w ork on HMIS and MA internal systems.
• Care for and maintain fresh flowers, plants, and bouquets.
• Clean and organize the refrigerator and storage areas.
• D eliver placement bouquets and service flowers to proper location as needed .
• Clean front shop (display area) daily.
• Maintain good communication with the public and other Forest Lawn employees.
• Drive and maintain a good driving record.
• Maintain a clean and safe working office/cashier’s area .
• Actively help client families in the Flower S hop and throughout the park.

• Previous experience in a customer service position.
• High school diploma/General education degree (GED).
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Type 35 wpm and be PC literate; basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Must be able to handle difficult situations with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.
• Must be able to work on-site.
