Your ImpactAre you a skilled and highly motivated Generator Technician in the Los Angeles, CA area who is looking to learn and grow in a fast‑paced, challenging job in the Telecom industry? This role is a great match for independent, self‑starters who are willing to travel.
Core Responsibilities- Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season equipment.
- Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness, reading and following blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair.
- Installing fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, and testing for proper operation.
- Responding promptly to Power/Generator alarms and being available on call 24/7 if necessary, answering assigned phone and email.
- Performing work with awareness of all potential hazards associated with the installation and maintenance of power supply equipment and switching gear, using safety equipment and practices, and attending all designated safety and training meetings.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience- Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance is preferred; a minimum of one year of intense work‑related experience with generator and electrical maintenance‑related software, hardware, and processes.
- Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair, including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
- Requires lifting over 50 pounds, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
- Must inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly.
- Must be willing and able to drive long distances and work day, evening, or night hours; overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required; and assume 24‑hour on‑call duty when assigned.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

Pay RangeBase Pay Range: $30 USD - $40 USD
