Love engaging students and families—particularly those struggling most—and love building a strong and positive culture. The Dean of Student Success is responsible for shaping and sustaining Aug Prep’s high school culture and ensuring that the students internalize Aug Prep’s values for academic excellence and behavior expectations in partnership with the Administration and staff. The Dean of Student Success develops preventative interventions and ensures students who are not yet meeting expectations are provided with wraparound support and follow‑through.
ASt. Augustine Preparatory Dean of Student Success will:
Student Support
- Promote attitudes, behaviors, and skills for improved learning, including behavior modification, attendance, and academic success.
- Encourage parental involvement in the pursuit of student achievement and positive faith‑based school culture.
- Collect and manage the culture metrics of the school that include components of attendance, graduation requirements, academics, social‑emotional well‑being, and behavior.
- Intervene and mediate behavior situations and work in conjunction with teacher, social work and parents to determine student success—may draft behavior plan and enter information into Infinite Campus after discussing with safety, student advisor and/or principal.
- Work collaboratively with parents/students as well as social workers, advisors, and teachers to bring resolution to situations where policies/protocols have been breached.
- Report to the principal to highlight gathered data, gain approval for proposed solutions/resolutions to data/issues, and evaluate the effectiveness of systems/protocols put in place.
- Serve as a point of contact for teachers, advisors, and parents who present issues/situations related to student behavior and attendance.
