Job DescriptionProvides behavioral health services to patients and families with acute or chronic mental and behavioral health needs within their care setting. Works as a core member of a multidisciplinary team, which may include medical providers, social workers, nurses, psychiatrists, and community partners. Responsibilities include managing chronic health conditions, providing anticipatory guidance, early intervention for trauma and mental health concerns, routine behavioral health screening, mental health risk assessments, evidence-based therapy, safety planning, and consulting with medical providers and the team.
Qualifications- Licensure: Social Worker, Clinical license, Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, or Psychologist license issued by Wisconsin.
- Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Counseling, or related field from an accredited program, plus 3,000 hours post-Master’s experience, or PhD/PsyD from an APA-accredited program.
- Experience: At least 2 years post-licensure experience or supervised experience working with children and families, including diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge/Skills: Understanding of pediatric development, trauma impact, and ability to assess and interpret patient data. Flexibility and adaptability to patient needs.
- Potential exposure to blood, high-risk body fluids, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
- Travel between clinics may be required.
- Preferred:
Certification in evidence-based therapeutic practices and experience in pediatric mental health or medical settings.
