Polisher

Ampco Pumps is a fast‑growing manufacturer of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications. We are seeking an experienced stainless‑steel Polisher for our Glendale, WI location. The primary responsibility of the Polisher is to safely perform a variety of finishing functions such as precision smoothing, grinding, deburring, and polishing stainless steel to a range of finishes.

• Operate hand and pedestal polishing/grinding machine to achieve required finish on stainless steel pump components.
• Operate hoist, cranes, pallet jacks, etc., to move equipment from one location to another.
• Review sequence of steps for each job and complete in a timely manner.
• Follow work instructions to comply with customer expectations and industry standards.
• Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Know established techniques to achieve proper finishes in multiple features of a product.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Able to stand for 8 hours or more.
• Able to bend, turn, and lift up to 35 lbs.

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least 2 years of metal polishing required.
