ASAP Position Overview
NuWest is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a 7-week evening contract in Glendive, Montana, starting October 11, 2026. You will provide compassionate, hands-on daily care to residents in an extended care setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, and committed to treating every resident with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Assist with meals and hydration, and document intake as required
- Measure and record vital signs, weight, and other observations, and report any changes to the nurse promptly
- Help residents move safely, including transferring, repositioning, and walking, using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
- Provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by changing linens and tidying resident rooms
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs, and offer emotional support and companionship
- Document care accurately and communicate with the nursing team throughout the shift
- Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and HIPAA standards
- Active CNA certification valid in Montana
- Experience working as a CNA
- Availability for rotating weekends and holidays
- Must pass background check and drug screening
