- Performs all duties of a Title Specialist I, with added responsibility for higher-complexity transactions.
- Verifies the accuracy of all recorded information, including tax details, forms, fees, lien and ownership data, and VIN/licensing information.
- Ensures all documents meet state and company requirements and are properly approved, signed, and distributed.
- Completes title packets in accordance with specific state guidelines as well as PSX SLA's, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Serves as a point of contact for employees, customers, dealers, vendors, and third-party partners regarding title and registration policies, procedures, and status updates.
- Assists external partners and internal teams with process questions, guidance on requirements, and escalation support.
- Works exception queues and verifies, updates, and resolves title, registration, and documentation exceptions within internal systems.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues preventing completion of title or registration work, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Maintains a strong understanding of current state titling, registration requirements, and regulatory changes nationwide.
- Adheres to all internal controls, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying process gaps or inefficiencies.
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
- OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience.
- OR 5 years' experience in a related field
- Previous vehicle title experience and title handling.
- Must have strong organizational skills and be very detail oriented.
- Ability to type and use 10-key proficiently required.
- Effective communication skills and strong customer service attitude is required.
- Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant notations related to titles is a requirement.
- Willingness to become a California Notary is desired
- Office setting.
USD 21.25 - 31.92 per hour
Hourly base pay rate is $21.25 - $31.92/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
BenefitsEmployees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
