The OpportunityAs a Teller, you will be the customer’s first point of contact with the bank, providing retail banking products and services while ensuring all transactions comply with company policies, U.S. state and federal laws, and regulations.
Responsibilities- Assist customer inquiries and requests regarding current accounts.
- Provide a full scope of branch customer experience services—making deposits and withdrawals, cashing checks, performing transfers, issuing bank checks, cashing savings bonds, and handling any other customer transactions as needed.
- Process all types of new account transactions and cross‑sell the bank’s products and services while striving to meet or exceed branch goals.
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and recognize cross‑sell opportunities.
- Educate customers on alternative channels that offer service convenience.
- Perform daily check scanning, vault settlement, ATM settlement, night drop deposits, and assist with opening/closing branch procedures as necessary.
- Multitask across multifaceted job roles to address all service or transaction needs, including cash transactions and opening basic accounts.
- Research and resolve cash differences.
- Coordinate with the Branch Manager regarding responses for independent third‑party and regulatory audits, ensuring any deficiencies are corrected.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all bank products and services.

- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant work experience in Bank Secrecy Act compliance and general banking skills preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of retail banking experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate math skills (calculate interest, percentages, balance accounts, etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of bank deposits, lending products, credit products, and services to open accounts.
- Relationship building, collaboration, teamwork.
- Intermediate experience, knowledge, and training in all operational activities and terminology.
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional and helpful attitude with the ability to interact positively with customers and co‑workers.
- Ability to identify customer needs and implement effective solutions in a rapidly changing environment.
- Accurate work with close attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
