Building Standards Surveyor

• Technically assess building warrant applications
• Handle compliance inspections
• Work as part of the Building Standards & Public Safety verification team
• Manage verification work for around 3,000 building warrant applications annually, ranging from small-scale projects to large and complex non-domestic buildings
• Collaborate with Environmental Health and Trading Standards to deliver statutory and advisory services focused on public health and consumer safety

• Degree level (SCQF level
  9) qualification in a relevant construction related subject
• Experience with in a Building Standards & Public Safety setting
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and technical standards
• Experience delivering verification services
• Must provide a Supporting Statement; applications without one will not be progressed
• Ability to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required

Demonstrates expertise in building standards and public safety verification, with a strong foundation in relevant legislation and technical standards. Capable of managing a high volume of building warrant applications while ensuring compliance and collaboration with health and safety regulations.
