Overview As Engineering Manager for Power & Test Equipment, you will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering function responsible for the development, delivery, and lifecycle support of industry-leading Power, CAS and Test Solutions.

You will provide leadership across Projects, Systems, Electronics, Software, Mechanical Engineering and Test disciplines, ensuring the successful execution of engineering programmes from concept through deployment and in-service support. Working closely with Programme Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams, you will drive technical excellence, delivery performance, and engineering capability. A key member of the engineering leadership team in Scotland, you will regularly engage with and report to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Head of Engineering, providing clear visibility of programme status, risks, opportunities, resource requirements, and strategic capability needs.

Success in this role depends on your ability to build, maintain and develop trusted relationships across the business and with our customers. Strong relationship management will be essential in understanding stakeholder needs, fostering collaboration, managing expectations, and creating alignment across diverse priorities. Working across Mission teams, functional leadership, programmes and external stakeholders, you will use professional influence, credibility and effective communication to strengthen partnerships, resolve challenges, and drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Lead, develop and inspire a team of engineers and technical specialists across Power and Test Equipment product lines. Create an engaging, values-driven culture that promotes teamwork, ownership, inclusion, customer focus and engineering excellence. Provide clear leadership and direction, ensuring teams remain focused on safety, quality, delivery and business objectives. Act as the primary escalation point for technical, resource and programme challenges, driving timely and effective resolution.
