Lead Professional – Building Standards, Public Safety

• Process major building warrant applications
• Support other team members
• Maintain an overview of the team's activities to meet agreed targets
• Allocate staff and resources to meet competing priorities
• Ensure work complies with agreed policies, technical policies, quality assurance and customer service requirements
• Lead training and development for technical staff
• Respond to dangerous building incidents through the rotational out-of-hours service

• Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject
• Considerable post qualification experience in Building Standards & Public Safety
• Moderate experience in a higher level post
• Detailed knowledge of Building Standards & Public Safety legislation, regulations and service delivery
• Membership of appropriate professional body
• Must provide a Supporting Statement; applications without one will not be progressed
• Required to participate in an out-of-hours service on a rotational basis, including weekends and public holiday periods
• Ability to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required

Demonstrates expertise in Building Standards and Public Safety legislation, ensuring compliance with policies and quality assurance. Capable of leading training initiatives and managing team resources effectively to meet operational targets.
