Fire Alarm Field Service Coordinator

Hourly rate: $28.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities- Schedule and dispatch technicians, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs using radios or telephones.
- Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.
- Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from technicians, supervisors, and field inspectors using telephones or two‑way radios.
- Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
- Maintain contact with all technicians on assignment and keep their status and location updated.
- Enter, update, and retrieve information via multiple computer programs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and logs of all telephone calls and other documentation in information systems.
- Perform routine clerical work as required.
- Assist in the completion of special projects, if applicable.
- Three years’ experience in the fire protection industry.
- Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of Houston and the surrounding area.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in multi‑tasking.
- Polite, friendly, and helpful attitude when answering phones and dealing with associates and customers.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen test and background check.
