Full‑time faculty positions begin in July 2026 with a 30‑credit hour (170 day contract) teaching load annually. The successful candidate will teach communications courses—including Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, and Group Communication—as well as serve general education requirements in Associate Arizona’s and Bachelor’s programs and support concurrent enrollment for local high‑school students. Teaching will take place in online, virtual classroom, in‑person, and hybrid modalities.
Responsibilities- Teach course load as assigned
- Teach Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, and Group Communication courses,
- Teach in online, virtual classroom, in‑person, and hybrid modalities.
- Evaluate courses and assess student learning
- Meet established course, program, and learning outcomes
- Maintain office hours per established standards (minimum five per week)
- Assist with academic advising, orientation, and registration activities
- Develop rapport with students and encourage teacher‑student communication
- Engage in scholarly and creative activities that enhance discipline expertise
- Continuing certification in discipline (if applicable)
- Graduate coursework and continuing education
- Grant writing correspondingly publishing, exhibitions, performances, presentations, and conferences
- Attending campus and college‑wide training and in‑services
- Conducting research
- Developing/adapting instructional technology
- Other activities approved by faculty member and Assistant Dean of Instruction
- Serve on campus and college‑wide committees
- Represent discipline on state, national, and international levels
- Participate in relevant projects with administrative approval
- Mentor peers
- Modify, develop, and maintain curriculum
- Assist with assessment activities (e.g., learning outcomes and assessment projects for courses, disciplines, and programs)
- Assist with program review
- Advise student organizations
- Participate in recruiting/retention activities
- Attend and participate in program, discipline, in‑service, and campus meetings
- Develop promotion portfolio
- Participate in community service activities (as appropriate)
- Under the general direction of the site school discipline dean or designee
- Cooperate with other program faculty
- Work with Student Services personnel in advisement of students
- Work cooperatively with Academic Services, Student Services, and Administrative Services personnel
- Master’s Degree in Communication or a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Communications
- Minimum of one‑year full‑time teaching experience or equivalent (30 credit hours) as an adjunct faculty member (higher‑education teaching experience preferred)
- Experience with in‑person, hybrid, synchronous online, and asynchronous online delivery modes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, flexibility, and collegiality
- Commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred

Salary and BenefitsSalary range: $79,902.51 – $97,321.19 per year, depending on education and experience. Additional benefits may include affordable transitional housing based on eligibility and availability.
