Occasional travel required.
- Research detainee history using multiple sources to establish identity and citizenship, and manage detained and non‑detained dockets.
- Provide administrative support to managers, supervisors, or staff by assisting in day‑to‑day office activities.
- Summarize and tabulate detainee information from various reports and using databases and automated systems.
- Generate and verify detainee reports, encounters, charging documents, studies, data quality, spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and presentations.
- Exercise quality control over bond paperwork.
- U.S. citizen or other eligible status.
- Successful background investigation, including credit, financial, criminal, and drug use checks.
- Selective Service registration or exemption for applicable males.
- One‑year probationary period may be required.
- Pre‑employment drug test required.
- Eligibility verification via e‑Verify.
- Direct deposit required for federal salary payments.
- Conditional offer requires completion of Form 306 and e‑Verify certification.
- Incentives may be authorized if funds available.
- Requirements must be met by the closing date; initial online assessments mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications for GS‑05
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑04 level involving recordkeeping, reporting, maintaining automated records, or responding to procedural requests.
- OR four years of post‑high‑school education in any field, accredited, with at least 30 semester hours.
- OR combination of education and experience, crediting extra academic hours beyond the first 60 semester hours toward qualifying experience.
Minimum Qualifications for GS‑06
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑05 level involving processing individuals arrested or detained, performing file searches, and responding to routine policy requests.
Typing Requirement
Show ability to type at least 40 words per minute within a 5‑minute sample, three or fewer errors; self‑certification possible via Occupational Questionnaire.
