Medical Laboratory Technician

We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a current Generalist or Specialty Certification and possess hands‑on experience in Hematology and Blood Bank. This role involves performing high complexity testing in compliance with CLIA standards, ensuring accurate and timely results, and contributing to the training and development of new staff.

• Utilize the Information System for patient intake, sample ordering, test result entry, documentation, and reporting.
• Perform lab tests in hematology, urinalysis, chemistry, blood bank, or microbiology using automated and manual methods.
• Analyze test results for validity and accuracy before releasing to the chart.
• Ensure turnaround times are met and critical results are reported and documented appropriately.
• Conduct quality control and proficiency testing as per policy.
• Interpret and troubleshoot quality control results to maintain test accuracy.
• Perform preventive maintenance, minor troubleshooting, and calibration of lab instruments.
• Participate in method and instrument evaluation and implementation.
• Assist in teaching and training new partners and students.
• Maintain competency in current procedures and acquire competency in new methods.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
• Hematology and Blood Bank experience.
• Qualified to perform high complexity testing per CLIA 493.1489 standards.
• MLT/MLS Generalist Certification or Specialty Certification (BB, C, H, or M).
